Ancrum
ANCRUM is situated about 4 miles north of Jedburgh, just off the A68. The village has a population of about 600, and supports a primary school, a sub-post-office, two pubs, a bowling club … and of course the church!
The present red sandstone building was completed in 1890 and was extensively refurbished in 2007, when the heating system was replaced, the sound system upgraded, access for people with disabilities improved, a small hall and kitchen constructed, the majority of the pews removed and replaced by comfortable individual seats … and a centre aisle provided, to the delight of potential brides!
The remains of the previous church are still to be seen in the churchyard, about half a mile west of the present building, and signposted off the B6400 road to Lilliesleaf.
Ancrum Guild
We meet in the autumn and winter months, now in the new Church Room.
Our meetings are in the afternoon of the first Monday of the month at 2.pm.
Everyone is welcome - even MEN!! We have a varied selection of speakers and a nice cuppa and chat.
Also, we provide home baking and support for many events - coffee evenings, soup etc for harvest lunch, and lend a hand when we are needed.
We also provide occasional coffee after church and always try to give everyone a warm welcome. Why not come along and try us out!!!

Ancrum Junior Church
Ancrum Junior Church welcomes primary school age children to come along
and share our Sunday service. We meet at 10.00 am in the church, and
after a talk for the children, we move through to our newly built room
and in this friendly environment we learn more about our Lord Jesus
Christ through a variety of different activities.
