An opportunity for everyone to catch up and, if you are new to the village, get to know your neighbours.

Bring your own bottle and a plate to share (Scottish/American).

Margaret Jeary will give a short presentation on the recently published book, ‘From Kelso to Kalamazoo – Life and times of George Taylor’.

Tuesday 29^Th September – Theatre Evening

Rowan Tree Theatre Company presents The Ragged Lion by Allan Massie.

Tickets £7 for adults (no concessions) and £4 for children under 16. Curtain up at 7:30.

Light refreshments will be provided, there will also be a raffle.

Friday 30^th October – Halloween Games Night

A fun evening for all the family. Games, Fireworks, BBQ and Raffle.

Bring your own bottle and food to BBQ.

Admission £2.50 for adults and £1.00 for children under 16.

Saturday 28^th November – Quiz Night

A quiz with a Scottish theme to celebrate the Year of Homecoming/St Andrews Night

Bring your own bottle and a plate to share.

Raffle and competitions. Admission free.

December – Christmas Carols followed by mulled wine and mince pies. Date to be confirmed.

Thursday 31^st December – New Year’s Eve Ceilidh

New Age Kurling It is proposed to hold fortnightly ‘Kurling’ evenings over the winter months possibly on a Thursday evening.  More details on this will follow.

The Sewing group meet on the 2^nd and 4^th Monday of each month. The hall is open from 11.30 until 4.00. All welcome.  The next meeting is on Monday 14 September

The WRI meets on the 3^rd Wednesday of each month. The meetings start at 7.30p.m. and new members are always welcome. The next meeting is on Wednesday 16^th September. For further information contact Margaret Jeary 01835 850266.

The Community Council will hold their next meeting on Monday 31^st August
