Christian Aid 2010

Many thanks to all who collected for, or in any way supported Christian Aid Week 2010 – including thsoe who worked in the Christian Aid Shop in the Kenmore Halls.

The door-to-door collection raised almost £2700 – down a bit on previous years but still a very respectable total, especially since a shortage of collectors left one or two volunteers with a huge area to cover

Lilliesleaf Guild

Sadly, Lilliesleaf Guild has had to close. Many thanks to all who have supported the Guild over the years, especially long-serving President Merlyn Horn

Blythswood Care Shoebox Appeal

What a tremendous response, with 73 boxes sent away and £140 donated toward shipping costs!

Very well done, everyone, especially to Catherine and her team who – once again – organised all this

Christian Aid Quiz Night

The recent Christian Aid Quiz Night raised £100. “The Real Ales” were the winners with the Guild team also putting in a good performance. Well done and many thanks everybody.

Armistic Day : 8 November 2009

Armistice Arrangements are as follows :

Ancrum : Church Service at 10.am, followed by service at War Memorial led by Tony Rae, with Lizzie Smart laying the wreath.

Crailing : Church Service at 10.30.am, followed by service at War Memorial, both led by Lindsay Thomson, with Jeremy Moon laying the wreath.

Lilliesleaf : Service at War Memorial at 10.50.am, led by Harold Inglis, wreaths laid by Bill Anderson and Derek Clark. Service in church at 11.30.am, wreath laid by Harold Inglis.

Retiring offering at each church for Earl Haig Fund.
